All About Honoring Divine Masculinity
As Father's Day approaches, I find myself reflecting on the concept of Divine Masculinity and what it truly means. This day can be a mix of emotions for many of us, and I want to take a moment to share some personal thoughts and send love to everyone in our community.
When I was 15, I lost my father. Father's Day has always been a poignant time for me, filled with both fond memories and a sense of loss. Over the years, I've come to realize that what I once thought defined masculinity has evolved into something much deeper and more meaningful.
Over the years as my family dynamics have shifted and sometimes abruptly changed, I’ve become more rooted in the notion that Divine Masculinity is not about adhering to traditional stereotypes or societal expectations. Instead, it's about embodying qualities such as strength, protection, wisdom, and compassion.
It's about being a source of support and nurturing, not just for others but for oneself as well.
As a single mom, I've had to balance both masculine and feminine energies, learning to be both a protector and a nurturer. This stuff is hard friend, and although it doesn’t always get easier, I somehow find myself becoming more open to change and leaning into the shifts.
Father's Day can be a joyous occasion for many, a time to celebrate and honor the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have made a positive impact in our lives. For others, it may be a time of reflection, grief, or mixed emotions. Whether you are celebrating this day with joy or navigating it with a heavy heart, know that your feelings are valid and respected.
So, to those celebrating Father's Day, I wish you a day filled with love and gratitude. Cherish the moments and the memories. For those who find this day difficult, I send you strength and compassion. Remember, you are not alone, and your experiences and feelings are honored.
This time around, I’m choosing to celebrate the strength, wisdom, and compassion that define the Divine Masculine. I’m keeping it super simple and allowing that to be enough. And I’m sending some love to everyone in our community, no matter their experience with this day. You deserve to be loved, protected, and nurtured.
