Mother's Day is fast approaching, I want to take time to acknowledge that every human has their own personal and different experience with motherhood. I’m not going to sit here and list all of the different ways and types, yet I do want to focus on the Divine Mother energy for this stack.

Your own mother… she may be the person that you look up to. She may be the person you never had. She may be the person who shaped the way that you think and respond in this life, and who sat with you for hours, and years. Showing up when you needed her most, and even when you didn’t think you needed her at all. She may be the person who taught you how to take care of yourself, and maybe even what not to do by example. There were beautiful times and hard times, highs and lows, light and dark. And yet through it all, she is inside of you.

Our Inner Mother is all of these things. And, well, mothers and motherhood, and all of the different pieces and moments in between, can be simple or it can be complicated. Learning how to honor our own Inner Mother, regardless of what our physical experience in this realm was like, is so important. Whatever your relationship looks like with your own mother, we have the opportunity to honor her humanness. If we struggled with our own mother, or we ourselves are struggling as mothers, we also have the opportunity to honor our own humanness as well.

Celebrate her inside of you. Who you are showing up as in this life, and how you are nurturing yourself, loving and caring for yourself. When we are able to lean into mothering ourselves, in the way we need, we free up resistance around unmet needs elsewhere, and we lighten the need to go outside of ourselves to have those needs met.

As you tune into each of these stones, Fluorite and Amethyst, tap into what being your own mother looks and feels like to you. We are indeed shaped by our own human experience, and whether this is something we want to replicate in our own lives, or not, that is for us to determine and decide. Yet, regardless of what has happened over the years, we do have the opportunity to pave our path of motherhood to ourselves. The nurturing, the caring, the showing up for what we need, and how and when we need it. Establishing self-talk that is uplifting, boundaries that are safe and secure, and practices that promote healthiness whether it be physical, energetic, or emotional are beautiful things that we as adults get to implement into our own lives. Tuning out outer voices telling us what is right and wrong for us, or what we should and should not be doing, while tuning into the voice that matters most: our own inner mother within us.

There is beauty and strength in this voice, and what we feed it will be what we carry forward, not only in our own lives, but what we will pass on generationally to our own children and those around us.

It is best known for its calming effects as it relieves stress and anxiety and will even block negative energies. Amethyst helps to clear the mind allowing for more clear decision making, amplifying intuition, or aiding with sleep related issues such as insomnia. It connects best with the Crown and Third Eye Chakras. Place Amethyst in a space that you feel would benefit the most from its calming vibration, however avoid direct sunlight as this stone tends to fade.
