All About The Unfolding Of The Full Moon In Aquarius & The Week Of August 1st

Today is a particular kind of Wednesday waiting for us this week and you already have the shape of what's happening, since we walked through the mechanics of it together on Monday. So, I'm not going to retrace that ground here. What I want to do instead is sit with you in what it actually means to live inside a day like this one, and more than that, what it opens up for you the moment it's over.

Here's the  undercurrent of everything I told you on Monday: this Full Moon is doing two things at once that don't usually happen together, closing something out and opening something new in the very same breath, and that dual quality is exactly why the last stretch of July has felt the way it's felt. If you've noticed yourself moving between exhaustion and anticipation without much warning, caught somewhere between wanting to finally put something down and wanting to reach for something new before you've even set the old thing aside, that tension has been the whole point. You weren't imagining it, and you weren't doing it wrong. A closing and an opening arriving together will always feel a little like standing in two rooms at once, and there was no way through that except to actually stand there and let it be uncomfortable for a while.

Which is why what comes after matters so much, and why I want you to let yourself feel genuinely good about August 1st instead of simply noting it as a date on a calendar. Because of the way this particular sky is built, (with a Leonian conjunction this rare landing today in a sign this warm), whatever you begin the week of August 1st is going to have real staying power behind it, not because you'll be lucky, but because the ground you're building on has already proven itself steady. This is absolutely worth pausing on. So much of what we call a fresh start is really just hope or a wish that this time will be different without much underneath it to make that true. This is not that. This is a beginning with actual structure holding it up, the kind you'll still recognize as solid a year from now, long after the excitement of the first week has settled into something quieter and more permanent.

Let yourself imagine what that actually feels like in the texture of an ordinary day, because it isn't going to look like a dramatic launch or a big public declaration, even though the sky today might tempt you toward exactly that kind of gesture. It's going to look smaller and steadier than that, and honestly, sweeter. It's the idea you kept setting down because the timing never quite felt right, finally getting picked back up without needing to be perfect first. It's also the version of your work or your voice that you've been quietly softening for other people's comfort, allowed to take up its actual size instead. It's the plan you were waiting to feel fully ready for, getting started anyway, because readiness was never really the thing standing in the way. August 1st isn't asking you to arrive prepared though! It's asking you to trust that the floor beneath you has already been tested and found solid, so you can stop checking it with every step and just walk.

There's something genuinely generous in the way this timing has worked out, too, and I don't want you to miss it. You are not being asked to begin from nothing, the way a fresh start sometimes implies, as though everything before this moment needs to be cleared away first. You're being asked to build on everything you already are; the parts of you that are warm without needing permission to be warm, expressive without needing to shrink for anyone else's comfort, sure of themselves in the quiet moments when nobody's watching. Whatever you begin now gets to carry all of that forward with it. Nothing about this beginning requires you to start over because it only requires you to keep going. Perhaps with a little more confidence than you've been allowing yourself lately, and to let that confidence be gentle instead of loud.

Before you get to August 1st, give yourself something to mark the space between where you've been and where you're headed. I'm not going to walk you through the usual manifestation checklist here, the candles and the vision boards and the checks written to your future self, because you've done all of that before and you know exactly where to find it if you want it again. What feels right for this particular threshold is something plainer, and I think something warmer: sit down sometime this next week and write yourself a letter. As in an actual letter, written the way you'd write to someone you love who's been through a lot lately and deserves to hear it said out loud.

Start it by congratulating yourself and mean it. Not for what you accomplished, necessarily, though that counts too if you want it to, but simply for staying with yourself through everything the last few weeks asked of you. Then let the letter open outward from there, into whatever you actually want for the season ahead, written in your own words and at your own pace, with no obligation to make any of it sound impressive. Some of what comes out might be gratitude. Some of it might be plain, unguarded hope. Some of it might be things you're only now admitting to yourself for the first time, things that have been sitting quietly under the surface waiting for a moment honest enough to let them out. Let all of it stay on the page exactly as it comes. This letter isn't going anywhere except into your own hands, which means it's allowed to be as soft or as certain as it wants to be from one line to the next, without needing to resolve into anything remotely tidy by the end.

And remember you have more time than just the one day to do this. The window for this particular kind of reflection stays open through the whole first week of August, all the way through the 6th, when Venus finally settles into Libra, the sign where she's most at home, most naturally diplomatic, most genuinely at ease in the give and take of being close to someone. There's something lovely about that as a soft close to this stretch of intensity, a gentle landing after everything the 29th stirs up. Use the whole week if you need it. There's no prize for finishing the letter in one sitting.

If it helps to have something to work from rather than a blank page, here are ten questions worth sitting with while you write, not because you need to answer every one of them, but because even one of them, held for a few quiet minutes, might tell you something you didn't know you were ready to hear.

10 Questions Worth Sitting With:

1. What did I finally finish, or finally let go of, in the weeks leading up to this Full Moon?

2. Where have I been shrinking something that actually deserves to take up its full size?

3. What's one thing I want to begin on August 1st that I'd still be glad about a year from now?

4. What came up for me this week that I haven't fully looked at yet, and what is it asking of me?

5. Where have I been overpromising, to myself or to someone I love, in a moment of excitement?

6. If I really trust that what I begin now has staying power, what does that free me up to choose?

7. What does enough actually look like for me right now, separate from what would look impressive to anyone else?

8. Where do I feel the pull between wanting to be seen and wanting to belong to something bigger than myself?

9. What would I want to tell myself about this exact moment, looking back on it a year from now?

10. What do I want to feel more of by the time Venus settles into Libra?

And when the letter feels finished, or as finished as it needs to be for now, here are three lines worth carrying with you through the week, small enough to return to in the middle of an ordinary Friday when you need something steady to hold onto.

Mantras:

What I finish clearly, I get to build on freely.

I only need honesty to begin.

I'm allowed to take up room without earning it first.

Let this Wednesday be as full as it wants to be, and don't feel obligated to manage it gracefully or have it all figured out by the time you go to sleep tonight. You've already done the harder part, all the clearing and the honest looking that got you to this point, and this next stretch is meant to be the good part, the part where things finally get to feel a little lighter. Write the letter sometime this week, whenever it feels right rather than forcing it into a single evening. Say the mantras out loud if that helps or just let them sit in the back of your mind where you can reach for them when you need them. And when the first two weeks of August actually arrive, don't wait until you feel completely ready before you take the first step, because that feeling was never going to be the thing that gave you permission. Just begin friend, and trust that this one is built to last.
