The Ayda Necklace

Whenever I make a necklace, my kids end up stealing it. That’s just how it goes in our house, and honestly, it’s the best compliment I could ask for. If they want to wear it, I know it’s good. The Ayda Necklace was one of those pieces from the start. It was an instant favorite of my daughter’s, and when it came time for her to leave for college, this was the one she packed to take with her, a small piece of home to carry along.

Named after her, the design is built entirely around soft, watery pink tones. It features oval cut Watermelon Tourmaline beads, chosen for their predominantly pink coloring, paired with an oyster shell accent and a tiny freshwater pearl pendant. She’s always had a great eye for stones, and pieces like this one feel like a collaboration between us as much as a gift.

Watermelon Tourmaline, with its pink center, is considered one of the strongest activators of the heart chakra. Pink Tourmaline is closely tied to emotional healing, known for cleansing the emotional body, releasing old grief, guilt, and anxiety, and replacing them with self love and compassion. It is also considered protective, forming a gentle shield against negative energy for whoever wears it. Beyond that, it is prized for opening up intuition, sharpening awareness, and deepening your sense of inner knowing, making it a favorite for those who lean on their instincts.

The necklace measures approximately sixteen inches in length and includes oval Watermelon Tourmaline beads, an oyster shell accent, and a mini pearl pendant. It is handmade and finished with gold fill accents.
